About the role:

AusGroup are seeking Welding Supervisors to join one of our key shutdown projects starting in November.

Your main objective will be to manage the crew to ensure that all related tasks are completed within the approved safety, cost, schedule, quality and performance criteria.

Position Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for supporting the site Superintendent to manage, coordinate, monitor, supervise and control the work across the contract.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure completion of all tasks in accordance with the Safety Management Plan, Quality Management System and all other Company/Client guidance processes, procedures and documentation
  • Manage, coordinate, implement and ensure compliance with the Construction Execution Plan and any improvements and changes made to that plan
  • Develop and review construction planning and monitor progress of allocated resources to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates
  • Forecast staffing requirements
  • Manage contractor/subcontractor interface
  • Manage and track cost of construction activities
  • Ensure construction schedule is maintained and data is completed and distributed accurately and on time
  • Effective communication and supervision of work crew, ensure work conforms with contract specifications and schedule is adhered to
  • Record Keeping, justification and traceability of decision making that commercially impacts the organisation, and where project related - tracking of variations and Client work orders.

Skills and Attributes required:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role
  • Cert 10 in Welding Supervision
  • Ideally experience in stainless steel on an acid processing plant
  • Experience in supervising Welders that use LN-25 wire feeders
  • Significant experience working in resource or construction industry
  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Construction White Card
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights (or prepared to obtain)
