About the Project:

AGC (Ausgroup) has been awarded a AU$30 million construction contract with Yara Pilbara Nitrates (“YPN”), a joint venture between Yara International ASA (“Yara”) and Orica Limited (“Orica”) for the Technical Ammonium Nitrate (“TAN”) Plant which is located near Karratha, Western Australia. The project will be executed in August 2019 with appropriate lead in works from July 2019.

FIFO from Perth only will see you work a 3 & 1 roster, 13 day fortnight (every second Sunday is an RDO). If you live, locally in Karratha the roster is 6 days on, 1 day off and 5 days on, 2 days off. The positions on offer are Fulltime Fixed Term and will see you through to Christmas with the potential of additional scope into the New Year.

What are we looking for?

  • Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
  • Valid WA Electrical Licence
  • Demonstrable experience in the oil and gas, resources or heavy industry sector is essential
  • Good working knowledge reading and interpreting electrical plans
  • Qualification in Instrumentation (desirable)
  • Hazardous Area Qualification (desirable)
  • Valid CPR / LVR
  • Valid tickets and licenses are advantageous e.g. WAH, CS, EWP etc.
  • Experience with disconnecting and re connecting work plus running cables

About you:

  • Able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years recent maintenance/shutdown experience
  • Experience in a live plant environment
  • Hold a nationally accredited OHS card (White/Blue card)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
  • Unwavering commitment and proactive attitude towards safety
